Terms of Use

Effective October 19, 2026.

Informational only

SafeMomma organizes, summarizes, and cites existing information from authoritative sources about medications, herbs, supplements, and everyday exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding. It is general information, not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. It does not replace your doctor, midwife, lactation consultant, or pharmacist.

Talk with your provider

Always check with a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing anything that affects your health or your baby. What matters can depend on the person, the amount, and how long something is used. SafeMomma does not give doses or personal treatment plans.

Sources and review

Item pages show ratings, short explanations, cited sources, and review dates when available. You can read more on our sources page. Content can change as we update summaries from those sources.

No warranty

We work to keep information accurate and clearly sourced, but the service is provided as-is. We do not promise that every item is complete, current for your situation, or free of errors. Use at your own risk and verify important decisions with your provider and the original sources.

Free to use

SafeMomma is free. Published research pages do not require a paid plan. Creating an account is optional and free (for example, to save items or join the newsletter). If you have a billing question about a past purchase, email support@safemomma.org.
